Refund and Return Policy – Goldener Wahl

At Goldener Wahl, we want you to love every product you receive. If something isn't right, we're here to make it easy — with clear options, fair policies, and zero surprises.

Please note: This policy explains both your statutory right of withdrawal (14 days, no reason required) and our voluntary return guarantee (30 days, conditions apply). These are two separate rights – you can choose whichever is more favorable to you.

1. 30-Day Free Returns – Voluntary Guarantee

In addition to your statutory rights, we offer a voluntary 30-day return guarantee for all orders, with no minimum purchase required.

Conditions for the voluntary guarantee:

  • Items must be unworn, unused, with all original tags attached, and in original packaging.
  • A valid order number is required.

Return Shipping:

100% Free: We include a prepaid return label in your package. You pay €0.

⚠️ IMPORTANT: The conditions in Section 1 (unworn, unused, with tags) apply exclusively to our voluntary 30-day return guarantee. For your statutory 14-day right of withdrawal (see Section 2), these conditions do not apply. Under the statutory right of withdrawal, you may inspect and try on the goods without losing your right to return them.

2. Statutory Right of Withdrawal – 14 Days – EU Customers

If you are a consumer residing within the European Union, you have the statutory right to withdraw from your purchase contract within 14 days of receiving your order without providing any reason.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, notify us explicitly:

We will process your refund within 14 days of receiving your cancellation notice. We may delay the refund until we receive the goods back or until you provide proof of shipment, whichever is earlier.

As a voluntary service, we cover the return shipping costs and provide a prepaid return label.

⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT YOUR STATUTORY RIGHTS: The conditions from Section 1 (unworn, unused, with tags) do not apply to your statutory 14-day right of withdrawal. Under the statutory right of withdrawal, you may inspect and try on the goods – just as you would in a physical store. You only lose your right of withdrawal if you use the goods beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics, and functionality.

4. Exceptions and Non-Returnable Items

  • ❌ Customized or tailor-made products once production has commenced.
  • ❌ Products intentionally damaged by the customer.
  • ❌ Items returned without original tags or proof of purchase (for the voluntary 30-day guarantee).

Important: For customized products, we explicitly inform you before the conclusion of the contract that the right of withdrawal does not apply.

5. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

  • Report any defective, damaged, or incorrect items immediately after discovery to info@goldenerwahl.com with photo/video evidence.
  • We will arrange a free replacement or full refund — and we pay return shipping.
  • This is covered by the statutory warranty provisions of German law (§§ 434 ff. BGB).

Important Note About Your Legal Warranty: The statutory warranty period is not limited by this notification period. You retain your full statutory warranty rights.

6. Order Cancellation

  • Orders can only be cancelled before dispatch. Once an order has been dispatched and is in transit, cancellation is no longer possible.
  • Please contact us immediately at info@goldenerwahl.com — we will do our best to assist.
  • Important: We do not charge any cancellation fees. The full payment will be refunded if the order has not yet been shipped.

7. Refund Processing Time

  • Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method within 14 days of receiving your cancellation notice (or upon receipt of the returned goods, whichever is earlier).
  • Please allow an additional 5–10 business days for your bank or payment provider to process the refund after we issue it.

9. Important for Non-EU Customers

If you are a consumer residing outside the European Union, the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to you. However, our voluntary 30-day return guarantee is available to all customers worldwide.

10. Shipping Liabilities

  • The customer is responsible for providing a complete and correct delivery address. If a shipment is returned to us due to an incorrect address provided by the customer, we will contact you to arrange reshipment at your cost.
